For the 5th Annual "Best in Paradise" to benefit the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

This Jimmy Buffet themed "party with a purpose" will be held June 19th at Lombardi Club. The event consists of two contests…the "Best Cheeseburger in Paradise" and the "Best Margarita in Paradise", all while listening to Pirates Over 40 play throughout the day and enjoying burgers, drinks, prizes and fun while helping our hungry neighbors!

The event is open to the public to watch teams compete for the "Best in Paradise". Any team up to four can enter, with the winning prizes determined by a panel of judges.

The Best Cheeseburger in Paradise
Fins Up!
Teams of up to four pay a $100 entry fee for a chance to win $500 and be crowned the Best Cheeseburger in Paradise. Each team receives the meat for the burger, and will create their burger in their "cabana area" which they decorate. They will then present their burger to a panel of judges, who will taste the entries and judge the entries based on predetermined criteria.
The winning burger team wins $500 and bragging rights! There is also an award given for 2nd place, 3rd place, and the "Best of Show" ("Best of Show" is for the theme and cabana decorations).

The Best Margarita in Paradise
Bottoms Up!
Teams of up to four pay a $50 entry fee for a chance to win $250 and be crowned the Best Margarita in Paradise. Each team receives tequila to create their margarita recipe. The margaritas are then judges by a panel of judges who will determine the Best in Paradise. After judging, teams give samples to the public, allowing them to vote via money in the fishbowl for the "People's Choice Award".
The winning margarita team wins $250 and bragging rights! There is also an award given for 2nd place, 3rd place, and the "Best of Show" ("Best of Show" is for the theme and cabana decorations).
